What this is

Fr8Labs Accounting connects your AI assistant to your company's books in the Fr8Labs accounting module. Your assistant acts as a careful bookkeeper: it prepares an entry, shows it to you, and posts it only when you say yes.

It is a Do connector — and it posts to your general ledger, so it is deliberately strict.

The one rule: a dry run first, posted only on your yes

Every change starts as a dry run. Your assistant shows the complete, balanced entry. It posts only after you answer yes in the chat.

  • It never invents an account, party, item or bank — it looks each one up in your books and asks you when there is a choice, such as which bank account the money moved through.

  • Your company's own forms are respected — required fields, entry types and numbering series — and every warning is read back to you.

  • More than one entity? It asks which entity a document belongs to.

What it can do today

  • Journal entries — adjustments, accruals, reclassifications.

  • Sales and purchase invoices that aren't tied to a freight job — rent, telco, audit fees, one-off customers. (Invoices raised from a freight job are made in Fr8Labs Actions.)

  • Payments — record money received or paid and settle the invoices it covers.

  • Parties and items for those documents, plus a look at your chart of accounts, cost centers, bank accounts and tax templates.

  • Assets — view the register, register a new asset, or scrap one.

  • Repeating documents — copy a document as a draft each period. It never posts or emails by itself.

  • Month status — check whether a period is open, see where bank reconciliation stands, and close an ended month.

What stays with your accountant

Month-end work is deliberately not done here. Your assistant says so plainly rather than working around it:

  • posting into a previous month or a closed period,

  • reopening a period,

  • opening balances, cash advances, revaluation, depreciation, inter-company and deferral entries.

Security — your books, only yours

  • Walled to your company — and to the entities you are allowed to work on.

  • Checked live on every request; access stops as soon as it is removed.

  • A posted entry is effectively permanent — a cancellation leaves an audit trail rather than erasing it. That is why nothing posts without your explicit yes.

Who can use it

Your company admin can connect it. To give a colleague access, ask your Fr8Labs contact — it is granted per person, with the specific entities they may work on.

How to connect

Add the connector address https://notification-hub.fr8labs.co/mcp-accounting the same way as Fr8Labs Actions — the steps for Claude, ChatGPT, Grok and Copilot are in Connect your AI to Fr8Labs. When you sign in, choose customer and use your normal Fr8Labs login. The consent screen says this connector posts accounting documents to your general ledger — Allow only if that is what you intend. Then start with: "Which company am I working in?"
