Connect your AI to Fr8Labs
Connect the AI assistant your team already uses — Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, Grok — to your Fr8Labs data. Add the relevant connector separately in each compatible assistant you use. Availability depends on that assistant's MCP support, plan and workspace settings.
The connector addresses (copy-paste these)
Fr8Labs has separate connectors — add the one(s) you need. Each is a full web address you paste into your assistant:
Connector | What it does | Address to paste |
|---|---|---|
Fr8Labs Analytics — Ask | Read your data — charts & reports (read-only) |
|
Fr8Labs Actions — Do | Propose FMS-core actions — jobs, quotes, house bills (you approve each) |
|
Fr8Labs Accounting — Do | Prepare journal entries, non-job invoices and payments — posted only on your yes |
|
Fr8Labs Client CRM — Do | Work your own CRM — leads, deals, contacts, quotations — saved only on your yes |
|
Fr8Labs Notifications — Notify | Set up alerts, scheduled reports and Statement-of-Account runs |
|
Adding one doesn't add the other — add each explicitly. (On ChatGPT, Analytics is a one-click published app; Actions is pasted as a custom connector — see below.)
What you'll need
You need your Fr8Labs login, access to the relevant Fr8Labs connector, and an AI account that supports that connector type. Published apps and custom MCP connections can have different plan requirements; check your provider's current availability and your workspace policy.
Claude's current documentation includes remote custom connectors on Free, Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise. See Claude connector setup. ChatGPT custom MCP write actions have separate requirements from published apps and read/fetch connections; see OpenAI's developer mode and MCP guidance. Provider guidance checked 21 September 2026.
Who can connect — and how admins grant access
Connecting an AI assistant to your Fr8Labs data is controlled by your company's account admins:
Account admins can connect right away.
Everyone else needs an admin to switch on access first. If you try to connect and see an "access needed" message, ask one of your account admins to grant you the assistant you need.
Admins — how to give a teammate access:
Open the client portal and click the Team Access tile (only admins see it).
Find the teammate in the list and click Edit access.
Switch on the assistant they need — Fr8Labs Analytics (for Ask), Fr8Labs Actions (for Do) or Fr8Labs Notifications (for Notify) — then click Save.
They can now connect using the steps below — and you can switch access off again anytime from the same screen. (Fr8Labs Config is coming soon — you'll see it greyed out on that same screen.)
Accounting and Client CRM are added as custom connectors, the same way as Actions. Client CRM is being opened company by company, and each person is granted it individually — switch on Fr8Labs Client CRM for them on the same Team Access screen (being an admin is not enough). Accounting can be connected by your account admins; to give a colleague access, ask your Fr8Labs contact. Coming soon: Fr8Labs Trucking and Fr8Labs CFS (container freight station).
Looking for Fr8Labs Config? Setting up your FMS — charge codes, partners, journey templates, roles — isn't a connector you add yourself. Your Fr8Labs assistant does that work with you, so it stays reviewable and reversible. Ask your Fr8Labs contact and they'll set it up.

Granting a teammate an assistant on the Team Access screen
Personal vs corporate AI accounts — an important difference
How you add a connector depends on whether your AI account is your own or managed by your company:
Personal / individual accounts: use your own app or connector settings where your plan supports the required connection. Do not assume support for read access also includes write actions.
Corporate / enterprise accounts (Claude Team/Enterprise, ChatGPT Business/Enterprise, Microsoft 365 Copilot): custom connectors are controlled by your organisation. Your IT administrator has to add or allow the Fr8Labs connector once, at the workspace/admin level, before the team can use it. If you don't see the option, check both your plan's capabilities and your organisation's policy. Ask your admin to enable it (they add it once; then everyone just clicks Connect).
Add it to your assistant
Pick your tool. On other assistants you'll paste the connector address from the table above, then sign in with your Fr8Labs login on the consent screen — either way, the connection locks to your company automatically.
Claude (claude.ai)
Open Settings → Connectors. (Team / Enterprise: an Owner adds it once under Organization settings → Connectors, then everyone clicks Connect.)
Click + → Add custom connector.
Paste the connector address and click Add.
Sign in with your Fr8Labs login → Allow.
In a chat, click the + (lower-left) → Connectors to switch it on.
ChatGPT
Analytics is a published ChatGPT app — nothing to paste. Search "Fr8Labs Analytics" in the app directory (or open chatgpt.com/apps/fr8labs-analytics) → Connect → sign in → Allow.
Actions uses a custom MCP app pointing at
https://notification-hub.fr8labs.co/mcp-fms-actions. Follow OpenAI's current developer-mode requirements, including workspace administration and write-action availability. A plan that supports a published Analytics app or custom read access does not necessarily support Actions.
Grok (grok.com — paid tiers)
Go to grok.com/connectors.
Click New Connector → Custom.
Paste the connector address and complete sign-in with your Fr8Labs login.
Microsoft Copilot (via Copilot Studio)
In your agent, open Tools → Add tool → New tool → MCP.
Enter the connector address and follow the wizard.
Sign in with your Fr8Labs login when prompted.
If your team uses Microsoft 365 Copilot, ask your Copilot admin to set this up — or talk to us.
Using something else? Check that your assistant supports remote MCP, Fr8Labs sign-in, and the actions you need. Follow that provider's setup instructions using the appropriate address above.
Signing in
You authorise with your own Fr8Labs login (standard OAuth) — we never receive your Claude / ChatGPT / Grok / Copilot password, and access is revocable any time. The connection locks to your company automatically, enforced at the database level.
