Help Us Help You: Screenshots & Links

How to Share Screenshots When Asking for Help

When reporting an issue, the more complete the information, the faster we can resolve it for you.

Unfortunately, many users send partial screenshots (cut-off error boxes, cropped images without context) or no screenshots at all — leaving our support team to “guess what’s happening.” As such, we aren’t able to understand the context in which you got the error, so here’s how you can help us help you:

✅ Best Practice for Screenshots

  1. Include the full screen

    • Always capture the entire browser window.

    • Make sure the URL bar is visible — this helps us see exactly which page you’re on.

  2. Highlight the problem

    • If possible, circle or annotate the area that’s wrong (error message, missing button, unexpected value).

  3. Send the link as well

    • Paste the page URL along with your screenshot.

    • This allows us to replicate the exact issue directly in our system.

🚫 What Not to Do

  • Don’t crop the screenshot to just the error text.

  • Don’t only describe the problem in words without showing what you see.

  • Don’t assume we can “guess” the page you were on.

🕒 Why this matters

  • Faster troubleshooting – we can immediately jump to the right page in our backend.

  • Fewer back-and-forths – saves you from multiple follow-up questions.

  • More accurate fixes – reduces the chance of us misunderstanding the context.

💡 Tip: If you’re not sure how to capture a screenshot, most systems let you press:

  • PrtScn (Windows) or Win+Shift+S for snipping tool.

  • Command+Shift+4 (Mac).

  • Or use your phone camera as a last resort (but make sure the URL bar is visible).
