Items / Goods define what you store or handle in your warehouse. Items must exist before you can enter it into a Goods Receipt or Goods Issuance.

Create an Item

  1. On the left-sidebar, navigate to Warehouse Management > Items/Goods and click on + New Item.

  2. Fill the fields → Click Save.

Key Fields

  • Status

    • Active - Toggle to activate or deactivate the item.

Item Details

  • Item Code - Unique identifier for the item. Can be auto-generated or manually defined. (Required)

  • Auto Generate (checkbox) - When checked, the system automatically assigns the item code.

  • Item Type - Category of item (e.g., ELECTRONICS, RAW MATERIAL). Used for classification and reporting.

  • Brand Name - Manufacturer or brand of the item.

  • Item Description - Name or description of the item for display in lists and documents. (Required)

  • Min Qty Alert - Threshold for minimum quantity. System triggers alert when stock falls below this value.

  • Default UoM (Unit of Measure) - Default unit for stock handling (e.g., PCS, BAG, CARTON, PALLET).(Required)

  • Send Email Alert for Stock (checkbox) - Enable automatic email alerts when stock drops below Min Qty Alert.

Physical Attributes

  • Weight - Weight per unit (numeric).

  • Weight UoM - Unit for weight (e.g., KGS, LBS).

  • Measurement - Volume per unit (numeric).

  • Measurement UoM - Unit for measurement (e.g., CBM).

  • Dimension (L × W × H) - Length, width, and height of the item, with unit of measure.

Storage Cost

  • Period - Storage cost calculated per unit of time. Specify either Week or Day.

  • Based on Weight - Storage cost calculated per unit of weight. Specify amount, currency (e.g., SGD), and weight unit (e.g., KGS).

  • Based on Measurement - Storage cost calculated per unit of volume. Specify amount, currency, and measurement unit (e.g., CBM).

Additional

  • Remarks - Free text notes for handling or item-specific instructions.
