Job P&L Report Table
Choosing a date basis and branch
In the P&L Report, choose Job Created Date in the Output Type filter to group rows by the month and year the job was created. This answers a different question from grouping by shipment or billing dates: jobs created in one month can have shipment activity or invoices in another. Keep the output type consistent when comparing reporting periods.
For both P&L and Job Management reports, use the Branch Filter dropdown to focus on a specific branch. Check the branch selection and date basis before comparing totals with another report.
Job Management Report
Purpose
The Job Management Report is designed for operational oversight. It combines accounting data with job progress to provide a complete picture of shipment performance.
Key Features
Shows status of each job (Draft, In Progress, Ops Closed, Completed).
Includes financial summary (invoices posted, costs booked, outstanding balances).
Displays job owner, customer, trade lane, ETD/ETA, and milestones.
Helps finance users review invoice details even without direct job access.
Example Use Cases
Operations managers tracking jobs nearing ETD/ETA.
Finance managers checking which jobs have unbilled costs.
Customer service teams preparing job-level reporting for clients.

Export & Sharing
Both reports can be exported to Excel (XLSX), CSV, or PDF for offline analysis or sharing with management and customers. You can also create Saved Views (e.g., “Jobs This Month with Margin <10%”) to reuse filters quickly.

Key Points to Remember
Job P&L focuses on profitability.
Job Management Report combines financial and operational data for holistic job tracking.
Accurate reporting requires:
Customer invoices linked to jobs.
Vendor costs booked promptly.
Correct job statuses updated by operations.
Both reports support filters by customer, partner, lane, branch, or job owner.
Additional report columns
Actual Profit in the Job Management Report is calculated from Actual Sales minus Actual Cost. It appears alongside the existing Profit column. Use the column tooltips to check which calculation you are comparing.
The P&L Report also includes POL Code and POD Code, alongside the port names. The port-code columns are included in CSV and Excel exports.
Finding jobs by operator or marks
The Job Management list includes an Operator column showing the assigned operator. Filter by operator name to narrow the jobs shown; operator information is included in exported job-management data.
The Mark/Remark column in the Job Management Report provides MBL-level container marks or job remarks. Use its filter to find shipments by those values.
Master Job invoices and the P&L Summary
Invoices created directly on a Master Job are included in Job Management, List Accounting Document, and the P&L Report. The Master Job's Profit & Loss Summary also includes both master-level and sub-job invoices. When reconciling totals, check invoices at both levels and keep the report filters consistent.
The Profit & Loss Summary printout includes the Freight Code beside each billing item, allowing you to match a charge description to its item code.
