Role Management

Overview

Role Management lets your company control user access by creating roles and assigning those roles to users. Each role can represent a job function (for example: Accounting, Operations, Sales) and can later be paired with permissions based on how your company works.

Typical use cases:

  • Standardize access for teams (Accounting, Ops, Sales, Admin)

  • Reduce manual permission changes when onboarding/offboarding

  • Ensure users only see what they need for their role

How to create a role

Best Practices

  • Keep role codes short and consistent (e.g., acc, ops, sales, admin)

  • Use clear descriptions so admins know when to assign a role

  • Create roles based on job function, not individual users
